Looks great! That’s one good looking car you’ve got there. I recently sold my Miata and I’ve debated picking up a 944.

I'd love to give it a try if you're in Michigan! ^_^

Looks great!
I don’t mind detailing, but the conditions need to be right. Like a climate controlled garage or 70 degree cloudy day with zero chance of precip.

Wish mine only took five hours. Without an orbital, it takes closer to 13 hours over two days. First one is spend washing, drying, claying, and compounding the car. Second is spend polishing, waxing, and cleaning/coating the interior.
Engine bay pretty much never gets touched, so it looks like a crude tanker in there.

Come to San Diego. It’s never rained here.

I’m not even talking about stuff that’s been etched in for years, that’s nearly impossible to get rid of. I’m talking about it being physically impossible to quickly wash and dry the car and not have spots. Ever method to prevent spots eats time.

Are you washing under the sun?
![]() 08/30/2015 at 16:09 |

Don’t have any choice. The alternative is park under the tree and let sap and other crap fall on the car as I detail it.

Crap baskets...That’s no fun.
Whenever I wash under the sun, I try and go one panel at a time, or wait until the evening.
